The GRE General Test is administered by ETS and is accepted by thousands of graduate and business schools worldwide for Master's, MBA, and doctoral programs. As of September 2023, the GRE was shortened to under 2 hours with no change to the scoring scale (260–340).

- Master Quant fundamentals — GRE Quant tests high-school algebra, geometry, and data analysis, not advanced calculus.
- Build a vocabulary system — learn GRE high-frequency words in context using flashcards and spaced repetition.
- Practice AWA essays weekly — ETS publishes all Issue and Argument prompts; practise with strict 30-minute timing.
- Use official ETS practice materials — PowerPrep tests are the closest simulation to the actual exam interface.
- Focus on section-adaptive strategy — scoring well in the first Verbal/Quant section unlocks harder (higher-scoring) questions.
GRE scores range from 260 to 340 (Verbal 130–170 + Quant 130–170). Analytical Writing is scored separately from 0 to 6. Scores are valid for 5 years from your test date.
